DuPont Sustainable Solutions (DSS) announces that Sofies Group, a global sustainability project management and consulting firm, will join DSS. With this acquisition, DSS says it adds to its offerings new intellectual property (IP), methodologies, tools and capabilities in sustainability management.
“At DSS we believe that managing risks and improving operations are fundamentally linked to sustainability and societal impact,” says Davide Vassallo, chief executive officer of DuPont Sustainable Solutions. “Our acquisition of Sofies Group enables DSS to provide its clients with deeper insights, strategy expertise and integrated capabilities to develop and implement their sustainability plans so they can successfully protect people, improve operations and create a sustainable future.”
Sofies Group is reportedly recognized for their strong focus on action and implementation. They collaborate with public and private organizations to integrate sustainability into their governance and operational framework, helping them to achieve their sustainability goals and maximize their impact on society, according to DSS. The acquisition reportedly brings to Sofies clients and partners a wider range of services that are required for the ecological and economic transition.
This transaction follows another acquisition by DSS in July of 2021 – that of KKS Advisors, a company in the environment, social and governance (ESG) space with particular expertise in financing and investment. “We are investing in our capabilities around ESG and sustainability so that we can support clients from investment decisions and strategy development to execution and reporting” says Vassallo.
Sofies Group’s global team of consultants are located in Geneva and Zurich, Switzerland; London, England and Bangalore, India. With the addition of Sofies consultants, DSS will have more than 1000 full-service employees serving its global clients. Sofies employees will continue to be based in their current locations, according to DSS.
