IMI launches intelligent specification tool for severe service products.

IMI Critical Engineering, a manufacturer of critical flow control solutions, launches the Valsiz 9.0CV intelligent specification tool for severe service products. Developed by IMI Critical Engineering’s IMI CCI business, the Valsiz 9.0CV online application takes into account the unique factors applicable to equipment operating in severe service in the oil and gas, power and nuclear sectors and offers valve recommendations. Valsiz 9.0CV includes criteria such as fluid velocity, kinetic energy, noise, pressure drop, vibration, cavitation and flashing.

Focusing primarily on IMI CCI products fitted with DRAG multi-path, multi-stage velocity control technology, the Valsiz 9.0CV tool covers a range of control valves and desuperheaters. Collateral generated by the tool includes product datasheets, face-to-face drawings, sizing summaries, characteristic curves and brochures.
