AdvantaPure announces a line of closures and stoppers

AdvantaPure now provides closures and stoppers for containers used in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processing. Manufactured from platinum-cured silicone, the closures are biologically safe and are well suited for pharmaceutical, biotech, biomedical and laboratory environments. They assure aseptic fluid transfer, sealing, filling and sampling.

AdvantaPure closures are produced from pure platinum-cured silicone that is free of animal-derived ingredients and meets USP Class VI and FDA standards. The closures are designed for carboys, flexible container systems, solution and media bottles and other vessels that utilize the closures such as True Union and GL45 styles. They work equally well with stainless steel, glass and plastic and are available solid, with multiple ports and with silicone tubing inserts. AdvantaPure closures allow easy reconfiguration of existing transfer and sealing systems.

Closures and stoppers from AdvantaPure are injection-molded in a clean room environment. The finished products provide a smooth finish with gap-free surfaces for a true seal. AdvantaPure closures resist temperatures from –100°F (–73.3°C) to 400°F (204.4°C), as well as cracking, particle migration and attack from a variety of chemicals. They are sterilizable by autoclave or gamma radiation.
