People on the Move: SOCMA Elects J. Steel Hutchinson as Chairman of Board of Governors

    J. Steel Hutchinson is the new chairman of The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates’ (SOCMA) board of governors chairman.

    Hutchinson currently serves as president and CEO of GFS Chemicals.  

    Hutchinson, from Powell, Ohio, was elected as board chairman during the board’s conference call on Jan. 24. 

    Other new board appointees include Andy Harris, president and CEO, Dash Multi-Corp; David Mielke, president and CEO, ChemDesign Products Inc.; Stuart Needleman, president and COO, Aptuit LLC; Michael Ott, president and CEO, Polysciences Inc.; and Brian Scanlan, president and CEO, Pharmaceutical API Development, , Cambridge Major Laboratories Inc.
