Aveva Launches Hydrogen-Focused Contest for Chemical Engineering Students

Aug. 8, 2023
Process simulation challenge aimed at addressing global skills shortage by engaging next-generation engineers.

Industrial software provider Aveva has opened entries for its Process Simulation Academic Competition for engineering students interested in developing sustainable hydrogen production and transportation solutions using simulation technology.

The contest is open to students in the United States, Canada, the U.K., Switzerland, Norway and the European Union. Participants must use Aveva Process Simulation tools to develop their project but don’t need prior experience to use the software.

Winners can secure an internship at Aveva or earn a cash prize of $3,000.

In 2021, more than 100 students entered the competition.

Aveva Process Simulation is cloud-enabled software used to design and optimize equipment, processes and plants.
