Bonomi Introduces Series 8000/9000 Butterfly Valves

May 11, 2016
Bonomi butterfly valves are suited for use in industrial heating, hydrocarbon and chemical processing, power generation and other industrial applications.

Bonomi North America introduces a new series of single part number, high-performance automated butterfly valve packages for use in industrial heating, hydrocarbon and chemical processing, power generation and other industrial applications. The packages combine Bonomi Series 8000 (carbon steel) and 9000 (stainless steel) butterfly valves with heavy-duty Valbia electric actuators. The valves are available in 2-inch through 12-inch sizes in both lug and wafer styles, ANSI Class 150 and 300. The actuators come in six sizes with maximum working torque from 266 to 3100 inch-pounds.  Each package can be specified with just one part number and ships as a unit ready to install.

Bonomi 8000/9000 Series butterfly valves are designed to meet or exceed the following standards: API 598 testing, API 609, ANSI 16.5, MSS SP-25 marking, MSS SP-61 testing and MSS SP-68 design. Standard features include a blowout-proof stem made from 17-4 PH stainless steel for extreme hardness and disc support, and replaceable seats made from carbon-filled PTFE for higher temperatures. They are tested to 100% of rated pressure before shipping, according to Bonomi.

The NEMA 4 cast aluminum body of the Series 86 actuator is polyester powder coated for protection against environmental elements. The drive train is made with steel and techno-polymer gears, supported by hardened steel pinions and mounted on self-lubricating bushings for long, reliable service. Motor speed adjusts automatically for load variations, ensuring consistent cycle times. Motors include low voltage 12V and multi-voltage 24V AC/DC 100-240 VAC models. Position indicator and torque limiter are standard.
