New model extends systems from cell culture through ultrafiltration/diafiltration.

EMD Millipore, the Life Science division of Merck KGaA of Germany, has launched the Mobius CellReady 50 L single-use stirred tank bioreactor for process development and pilot scale mammalian cell culture. The bioreactor is designed to enable biopharmaceutical manufacturers to implement robust, single-use technologies that bring their drugs to market faster and with less risk.

The Mobius CellReady 50 L bioreactor extends the company’s single-use processing systems from cell culture through ultrafiltration/diafiltration. Mobius SensorReady technology offers the flexibility to configure process monitoring at the point of use, reducing the need to customize bioreactor process containers and facilitating integration of new sensor technologies.

The rigid base and top panel design of the bioreactor process container is made with simple, reliable and robust installation in mind. The Mobius CellReady Bioreactor system is available as a turnkey system complete with Finesse automation or as a modular system that can be integrated with a customer’s platform of choice.
