Honor will recognize thesis on fluid separations

The European Federation of Chemical Engineering has issued a call for nominations for its 2018 Excellence Award in Fluid Separations. This honor will recognize a PhD thesis that provides an outstanding contribution to research or practice in that field.

The winner of the award, which is bestowed every four years, gets a €1,500 prize, a certificate and a fee waiver to attend the 11th International Conference on Distillation and Absorption, which is slated for Florence, Italy, in September 2018, where the award will be presented.

The PhD thesis must have been published between Jan. 1, 2013, and Dec. 31, 2017. It must address a topic related to fluid separations technology, such as distillation, absorption, extraction, membrane separation, chromatographic separation and similar, at any operating scale.
