Two Chinese chemical companies are in discussions to create the world’s largest chemical group, according to an article from CityA.M. A long-rumored merger between ChemChina and Sinochem will reportedly take place next year. ChemChina will also complete a $43 billion deal with Switzerland’s Syngenta later this summer.

The agro-chemical industry has seen its share of mega-deals over the past year. Dow and DuPont are expected to close their $130 billion merger in August, according to the article, while Bayer is aiming to complete its acquisition of Monsanto by the end of the year.
