What wouldn’t we all give to don an invisibility cloak every so often? Scientists haven’t quite accomplished that Harry Potter-level feat, but they have made progress with a cloaking device that makes curved surfaces look flat when encountering electromagnetic waves, according to an article from CBS News.
According to the article, the technology involves a layered nanocomposite coating with different electric properties that can concentrate the electromagnetic to “hide” the object it is covering. While the technology is still in its early phases, scientists reportedly believe it may have practical applications for engineering in industries like aerospace.
