Chemistry Union Unveils Annual Top 10 Emerging Technologies

The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry sets out to identify game-changing solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges with its annual list of the top 10 emerging technologies in chemistry. These technologies address environmental and sustainability challenges as well as the ongoing pandemic, according to an article from ChemistryWorld.

An independent panel of experts reportedly endeavored to select diverse technologies with the greatest potential impact. The list includes blockchain technology, sonochemical coatings to prevent the spread of pathogens and sustainable ammonia production designed to significantly reduce the CO2 emissions involved in fertilizer production.
