Free 12-page chemical resistance guide

July 18, 2005

The suitability of three formulations of Kynar® polyvinylidene fluoride resins, Kynar Flex® 2800, 2850 and homopolymer to more than 600 aggressive chemicals at various concentrations, when used from ambient temperatures to indicated maximums, is provided in this 12-page Chemical Resistance Chart now available from Arkema Inc.

Kynar® PVDF resins are widely used for piping materials, tanks, pumps, nozzles, tower packing and valves.  Common handling applications include hot acids, halogens, high purity fluids, hydrocarbons and oxidants, as well as for those applications involving high purity water and chemicals or foods where metallic contamination cannot be tolerated.  It can also be used continuously at temperatures as high as 140°C (285°F) in environments where chemical attack is minimal.
