Heat Exchange Institute Updates Standards for Closed Feedwater Heaters

The Heat Exchange Institute (HEI) released the 8th edition of Standards for Closed Feedwater Heaters. The 8th edition contains new information on drains and vents for heaters as well as tolerances for nozzle and support locations. A new schematic piping arrangement for feedwater heaters has been included. Information on high pressure, full access channels has been incorporated into the standard as new Paragraph 8.1.2, accompanied by a new drawing. These are just some of the revisions that have been made and incorporated into the new standard.
