ITT Goulds Pumps has announced the latest plans for the first Pump Appreciation Day, which is scheduled to be held on April 10. In addition to two new pump industry recognition programs, the festivities will feature industry events for users of pump technology, as well as videos and other educational materials for consumers.
The day’s activities will include the new “The Heart of Industry Award” program, which recognizes industrial operations for excellence in using pump technology to improve processes, satisfy customers and enhance our modern way of life. Honors will go to companies or plants nominated by ITT Goulds Pumps sales offices and distributors, with a limit of one award-winner per office.
In addition, the “Pulse of Industry Honor Roll” will recognize organizations and people who have distinguished themselves through their work with pump technology to enhance industrial processes and enable essential products. Workers can be named for achievements such as improving pump efficiency, providing outstanding maintenance, or solving engineering or manufacturing challenges.
Other highlights of Pump Appreciation Day include high-energy videos and consumer-friendly fact sheets designed to help non-experts understand the indispensable role that pumps play in making the things we use in everyday life, as well as local events held by ITT Goulds Pumps and its distributors focused on education and recognition events for customers and employees worldwide.
