    Atlas Copco Wraps Up Leybold Acquisition

    Atlas Copco completes the acquisition of Leybold Vacuum on September 1st, 2016. Atlas Copco AB now owns the former Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum GmbH, renamed Leybold GmbH. Leybold becomes part of the Vacuum Solutions Division in the Compressor Technique Business, with approximately 6,500 employees represented in over 35 countries, according to Atlas Copco.

    Leybold, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, develops and delivers vacuum pumps, systems, standardized and customized vacuum solutions and services for various industries. Leybold offers sustainable solutions for industrial processes such as secondary metallurgy and a range of coating technologies.
