Marvel Comic Book Covers Promote STEM

Marvel heroes explore science education in new crop of covers.

Marvel has long celebrated comic book scientists in the dashing forms of Peter Parker, Bruce Banner and Reed Richards among others.  Now, the publisher will engage young readers in math and science with a selection of STEAM variant covers featuring their heroes involved in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, according to an article from Popular Science.

The education-themed series of covers finds Moon Girl tackling science, the Invincible Iron Man engaged with engineering and friendly neighborhood Spider-Man taking on technology, according to Popular Science. Champions including the Incredible Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Viv and teenage Cyclops fill out the cover offering the Arts in STEAM and The Unbelievable Gwenpool ably handles math. Marvel’s covers are reportedly set to hit stands in November.
