A scholarship program established by Shell gives Filipino youth the opportunity to pursue studies in science and engineering, according to an article from the Business Mirror. Shell and the Philippine Development Foundation recently wrapped up the third annual Shell-PhilDev Leadership Camp at the Shell Training Center in Pililla, Rizal.

According to the article, Shell developed the program in 2013 with PhilDev, a nonprofit organization that works to create “long-term economic growth in the Philippines through education, innovation and entrepreneurship.” The program reportedly focuses on participants’ personal development in addition to science education and encourages camaraderie and personal growth.
