Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. is expanding market applications for Elevance Clean 1200, a VOC-free cleaning ingredient, to include industrial and institutional laundry, food processing and food service, and oil and gas. The product is currently used in manufacturing and transportation maintenance.
New Elevance Clean 1200 certifications include:
- Listing in the USDA BioPreferred catalogue with 69% bio-renewable carbon;
- Listing on the CleanGredients database, as a component of the US EPA DfE (Design for the Environment) program for use of safer chemicals; and
- Certified as a cleaning ingredient by NSF for non-food contact applications.
Elevance Clean 1200 is compatible across a range of aqueous and organic solutions when used at neutral pH and can be used directly, blended with other ingredients or emulsified with the addition of surfactants. Bio-based, safe-to-use and with no VOCs, according to the company, Elevance Clean 1200 meets restrictive environmental requirements.
Elevance Clean 1200 is produced from large, local commodity crop sources and is available through Elevance’s biorefinery in Gresik, Indonesia, a 180,000 MT joint venture with Wilmar International Limited. World Bio Markets selected Elevance Clean 1200 for the 2015 bio-based product innovation of the year award.
