Accutech releases submersible field unit to measure hydrostatic levels

Accutech, a division of Adaptive Instruments Corp., and supplier of embedded microprocessor-based electronics, has announced the addition of two new products to its comprehensive industry-leading wireless instrumentation line.

The submersible level field unit is designed to measure hydrostatic level in a vented tank and is available with an integrated sensor or an extended sensor. In situations where the level measurement point is low to the ground or the tank is surrounded by a containment dike, the extended sensor allows for more advantageous positioning of the wireless transceiver without compromising accuracy. This unit is self-contained, fully wireless, and samples pressure at regular intervals based upon user specification.

The field unit provides measurement and monitoring variables that are often unattainable with wired solutions and the 900 to 928MHz ISM license-free units assure complete security, with frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) communications technology.

The long range base radio repeater is designed to complete the communication between the base radio and a DCS, PC or PLC systems where the installation of communication wires may be impossible or impractical, such as crossing a highway, waterway or long distances. The long range repeater radio is a powered radio repeater that allows wireless data transmission at the full FCC power level limit for an unlicensed radio while providing the best possible link strength, the longest range and most reliable connection. The repeater radio is packaged in a rugged NEMA 4X, watertight housing, with antenna cables of either 10 or 25 feet.

Accutech's instrumentation is designed to meet strict requirements and to solve tough challenges in difficult and often hazardous environments.
