Slurry Meter Replaces Obsolete Equipment

Highly resilient gum-rubber-lined flow tube enables meter to measure abrasive media.

SCIAM’s DM3 in-line, continuous density meter calculates density by measuring direct mass over a known volume within a flow tube. Compared to inferring or estimating values, direct calculation improves the accuracy and environmental viability of sensor and mass flow systems, says the company.

Designed to replace obsolete technologies, the DM3 reportedly has proven to be safer and more cost effective than nuclear techniques or inefficient auto sampling within any slurry processing operation. A highly resilient gum-rubber-lined flow tube with customization options for high-pressure and extreme-temperature applications enables the DM3 to measure abrasive media.
