Glass Rotameter Measures Liquid And Gas Flow

Nov. 22, 2011
RAGN complies with Machinery Directive ISO 13849-1 standard.

Yokogawa has introduced the Glass Rotameter RAGN to offer a new solution for continuous flow measurement of liquids and gases. Made with an entirely stainless steel design, the glass rotameter is also able to resist highly corrosive media for safe and low-maintenance operation.

Featuring reed switches assessed to SIL 1 acc. to the reworked IEC 61508:2010, the Glass Rotameter RAGN also complies with the Machinery Directive ISO 13849-1 standard. Measuring capability for water ranges from 2 ml/h to 10 m³/h, and from 0.1 l/h to 160 m³/h for air. The glass tube is equipped with a scale highlighted by a yellow background and protected by a splinter shield.

Featuring a modular design, the limit switches can be retrofitted and used to indicate minimum or maximum flow alarms. This is accomplished by outputting a signal when the magnetic float has reached or exceeded the limit switch position. Yokogawa also offers an optional cable connection box for simple wiring.
