Ultrathin Industrial PCs Are Useful in Harsh Environments and Hazardous Locations

The Nematron Corporation announces the ePC-Series of industrial computers. The ePC-Series' ultrathin size and shallow panel-mounted depth of less than three inches (76.2 millimeters) makes the computers ideal for installation in harsh environments and hazardous locations. Each computer is available with a five-wire analog resistive touchscreen and a NEMA sealed panel-mount front panel. The ePC-Series computers include a 15-inch (ePC1500) XGA, a 17-inch (ePC1700) SXGA and a 19-inch (ePC1900) SXGA LCD version. Available options for the The ePC-Series include stainless steel front panels, solid-state non-rotating hard drives and 24 Volt DC input power. The included CompactFlash socket and extensive I/O eliminate the need for expansion slots and rotating CD-ROMs. Each unit offers the following I/O ports: two 10/100/1000 Ethernet, one RS-422/485, two RS-232, four USB 2.0, PS/2 and an external video connection that supports dual display with extended desktop. With an optional Intel Core Duo 2.0 GHz processor and a 2GB DRAM, the ePC-Series provides enough processing power to run complex HMI and SCADA applications. The SATA hard drive can be removed without any cable connections. The ePC-Series meets UL and cUL 508, Class I Division 2, RoHS and European CE approvals.
