GE Fanuc flat panel monitors can withstand harsh environments

GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, Inc., has introduced the new Sentinel Series of rugged flat panel monitors - which can withstand harsh environments to provide high reliability in the most demanding military and industrial applications.  Offering the mechanical design and environmental advancements to exceed strict specifications, the Sentinel Series monitors are available in 10.4", 15", 19" and 21" display sizes with anti-reflective and anti-glare coatings for improved visualization and faster, more accurate operator response.  All models in the family have been designed, tested and certified to provide compliance for shock (MIL-S-901D, Grade A), vibration (MIL-STD-167-1), EMI/EMC (MIL-STD-461E), and environmental (MIL-STD-810E).

Now available, the 15", 19" and 21" Sentinel Series flat panel monitors offer AMTFT displays, optional resistive touchscreen, picture-in-picture video (PAL/NTSC) display overlay on a PC background, and multiple window-size options. These Sentinel Series units also support VGA, SOG, NTSC, RS170, PAL, S-Video, and DVI video signals. Membrane keypad on rear of unit directs OSD controls. The Sentinel Series is equipped with both field replaceable backlights and power supply for easy maintenance and high uptime. Panel mount is standard on all display sizes with rack mount available for the 15" and 19" versions.

The Sentinel Series 10.4" model provides an active matrix color TFT LCD with brightness controls conveniently located on the front panel. The touchscreen uses IR technology for fast response without a stylus and excellent display clarity.  This panel-mounting system is compatible with RS-343A and SVGA video sources and also supports RGBHV or SOG connections through the DB15HD VGA connector (adapter cables available).
