Chemineer was awarded a Chinese Boiler and Pressure Vessel License (level A1) for Kenics products.

Chemineer was awarded a Chinese Boiler and Pressure Vessel License (level A1) for Kenics products. Kenics renewed its accreditation to design, manufacture and export heat exchangers as well as pipeline static mixers into the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese administration branch, Special Equipment Licensing Office (SELO), awarded the manufacturer’s license on September 28th, 2014.

Since 1998, when the Kenics manufacturing facility first received accreditation, more than 100 vessels have been successfully commissioned in the People’s Republic of China, according to Chemineer. Applications include polymer processing, adhesives manufacturing and various mixing/blending of high and low viscosity chemicals.

With the level “A1” license, vessels up to 14,500 PSIG (100MPa) for non-lethal/non-toxic applications can be exported. For medium toxicity and lethal-service applications, vessels up to 1,450 PSIG (10MPa) not exceeding 1,320 gallons (5,000L) can also be built for Chinese installations.
