March 7, 2013
Company features article on deflagration on redesigned site.

Chilworth has launched a new website with an updated design and more user-friendly navigation to demonstrate the company’s expertise and services.  The newest addition to the website is the Training Courses Registration section. This section allows users to register and securely pay for training courses online.

The company also recently published a new “Safety Watch” article on its website. The article addresses deflagrations, which can cause serious harm to individuals. The pressure, most commonly associated with deflagrations, can destroy facilities. The adequate management of deflagration risks is an important process safety effort for those facilities where combustible dusts, flammable liquids and flammable gases are processed and handled.

An effective approach to the management of these risks is to apply an understanding of the fire triangle to create a basis of safety for each unit operation and activity. This focus describes an approach to the management of deflagration hazards through the creation of a basis of safety for facilities and activities
