Dow Benelux awarded flow control products and services provider Flowserve Corp. a five-year contract to perform maintenance of its rotating equipment and general machining.
Flowserve will initially open an onsite Quick Response Center (QRC) at Dow's Terneuzen, Netherlands, facility. The QRC will employ approximately 35 people and will be designed to handle all rotating equipment maintenance for the Terneuzen facility.
Within three years, Flowserve plans to relocate this QRC and become a part of Maintenance Valuepark Terneuzen, a regional center where Dow Benelux and other companies can obtain services focused on the maintenance functions of the process industry.
The Valuepark is an initiative of several maintenance service-providing companies, educational institutions and the government to establish a world class maintenance and education center.
