Dryer Processes Friction And Heat Sensitive Products

Heinkel introduced the Condry Cone Central Shaft Dryer.

The Condry Cone Central Shaft Dryer offers efficient and cost-effective vacuum drying technology, according to Heinkel. It can process a wide variety of products, particularly those with a fragile crystal structure that are sensitive to friction as well products sensitive to heat.

The conical bottom with its central discharge valve enables excellent product discharge, according to the company. A unique agitator arm profile with teeth helps avoid excessive pressure and prevents changes or damage to the crystal structure of the product. It also results in excellent mixing at low rotational speeds. The agitator design prevents the formation of agglomerates, so choppers (homogenizers, lump breakers) are not required.

Narrow tolerances between the agitator and the vessel walls prevent adhering of the product to the walls, resulting in good heat transfer and emptying characteristics and enabling small batch sizes.
