ACC Announces GlobalChem 2023

March 1, 2023
The in-person event, to be held in early April in Washington, D.C., will explore changes impacting chemicals management.

The American Chemistry Council (ACC), Washington, D.C., has announced the in-person return of its 36th Annual Global Chemical Regulations Conference and Exhibition (GlobalChem), after three years of a virtual conference program. Sponsored by Beveridge & Diamond PC, GlobalChem 2023 will occur April 3 through April 5 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Coupled with the GlobalChem Exhibition and pre-conference workshops, the annual gathering examines recent developments in domestic and global chemicals management policy, and the U.S Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) continued implementation of the 2016 amendments to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). With GlobalChem returning to an in-person format, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and reconnect with leaders and experts in chemical regulation.

The agenda includes presentations and breakout sessions on risk management under TSCA; tiered data collection and tiered testing; risk communication; the New Chemicals Collaborative Research Program (NCCRP); environmental justice and air quality monitoring; challenges and opportunities in the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM); global data sharing and much more.

There will be an optional workshop day on April 3 for attendees to explore the fundamentals of TSCA. To learn more about the conference agenda and to register, visit the GlobalChem website
