Company invests in capacity expansion and plant restructuring
By Chemical Processing Staff
OQ Chemicals is expanding its carboxylic acids production capacity in Germany and planning to restructure portions of its global production plants to strengthen its production capabilities, the company said Jan. 24.
Carboxylic acids are key building blocks for high-performance lubricants, cosmetics and animal feed additives. The capacity expansion includes an optimization and debottlenecking project for precursors at its plants in Germany. Structural work is already underway, with completion planned before the end of the first quarter of 2023.
The company expects the additional product to be ready for market in 2024.
