Engineering students looking for help with college costs can apply for Kelly Engineering Resources’ seventh annual “Future Engineers Scholarship.” The $5,000 scholarship award is presented to one student in recognition of his/her outstanding academic performance and depth of knowledge about the issue or challenge addressed in their essay.
All sophomore- and junior-level college engineering students who meet the program criteria are invited to compete for the scholarship by submitting an essay on a designated, contemporary engineering topic. To date, Kelly Engineering Resources has provided more than $30,000 in scholarship funds to college students.
In January 2010, the student with the winning essay will be presented a $5,000 scholarship check to be used toward eligible expense for tuition, fees, books, and room and board during the 2010 calendar year.
Submission materials, guidelines and this year’s essay question are available at http://www.kellyengineering.com/scholarships. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 15, 2009.
The Future Engineers Scholarship program was developed to encourage student interest in a career in engineering, to foster excellence in the engineering field, and to help alleviate a critical current and future shortage of highly qualified engineers.
