Free 'Pump and Systems' Conference In UK

The Pump Centre, a UK-based membership organization for the pumping industry, announced that it will be holding its annual conference and exhibition on June 2, 2009, in Runcorn, Cheshire, England.
 
The event is free to anybody with an interest in pumps and pumping technology including pump users, manufacturers and suppliers of components or services. The theme of this year’s conference is "Pumps and Systems" and includes presentations from some of the industry’s leading experts.
 
Conference presentations will include:
 
• Pump and System Optimization
• Thames Water’s Pumping Heritage
• Energy Saving Operations and Asset Modifications
• Design and Installation of an Innovative Mixing System
• Medium Voltage Motor Starting
 
A comprehensive exhibition of products and services from across the pump industry will run in parallel with the conference.
 
The popular "Back to Basics" training sessions return this year. Tickets for these sessions will be provided on a first-come first-served basis during registration. This year’s session topics include:
 
• Nuts, Screws, Washers and Bolts
• Pump Alignment
• Economic Parallel Pumping
