Processing People on the Move: Black & Veatch Names Matthew Lee Leader of Nuclear Projects Group

Lee to focus on maintaining and upgrading nuclear facilities for clients.
Black & Veatch announced Oct. 15 that Matthew Lee will replace Steve Rus as the company's nuclear
projects group. Rus, senior vice president and executive director of nuclear projects, is retiring after 37 years with the company.
Prior to his new position, Lee served as associate vice president and director of operating plant projects. In this role, he was responsible for achieving project cost, schedule and quality objectives for operating nuclear power plant project work. Lee also was engaged in business development activities with regard to operating nuclear power facilities.
Black & Veatch provides engineering, procurement and construction services for existing and new facilities. The company works with clients to maintain and upgrade existing nuclear power plants, comply with regulations and deploy advanced technologies. Black & Veatch is currently working with clients to assess seismic and flood protection requirements in the post-Fukushima era.
