IChemE Encourages Members To Consider Trustee Vacancies
Feb. 9, 2022
IChemE calls for nominations for trustee and Congress vacancies.
Members of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) are invited to put themselves forward for available positions on the Board of Trustees and Congress. The Board of Trustees is the governing body of IChemE and therefore members appointed to the Board are responsible for setting the strategic direction of IChemE. Congress is the member advisory body to the Board of Trustees and consists of two electoral colleges; one that elects on a geographical basis (Regional College) and one that reflects the spectrum of membership grades (Functional College).

Trustee nominations must each be supported by five other voting members, who may not nominate more than one candidate in any single trustee election. Congress nominations must be supported by two members. For seats in the Regional College, the two members must be voting members who can be based in any region. Those applying for seats in the Functional College require support from two members in the same membership grade. All nominations require the written consent of the individual concerned and affirmation by them that they will be active in the role if elected.
Members should submit their nominations by 09:30 GMT on Monday February 21, 2022
All submissions will be reviewed against the criteria in the role profiles. Applications for the Board of Trustees will be reviewed by the IChemE Nominations Committee.
