Emerson And Fluenta Collaborate On Flare Measurement Offerings

Emerson and Fluenta are collaborating to provide ultrasonic flare gas measurement options for the oil and gas and chemical industries to improve energy efficiency and comply with increasing regulations across the globe to measure, monitor and report flare gas emissions. The collaboration reportedly enables Emerson to better serve its customers through a single supplier agreement to provide comprehensive flow offerings. In conjunction with Fluenta, Emerson can now offer customers a full suite of ultrasonic fiscal meters for custody transfer and flare gas metering applications, according to the company. 

To better comply with environmental regulations and optimize energy usage, customers are seeking advanced flare gas monitoring and energy management offerings. Emerson’s broad flow metering portfolio combined with Fluenta’s flare gas metering product line reportedly enables customers to control mass balance, monitor CO2, detect abnormal process changes to prevent leakage and limit excessive steam consumption for smokeless flaring.
