Evonik to Start Construction of New Methionine Plant
Evonik Industries, Essen, Germany, will hold a groundbreaking on Jurong Island, Singapore, for a second DL-methionine plant at its site there. Evonik has not officially announced the date of the groundbreaking. The 150,000-mt/yr unit, which will equal the size of the current plant that was commissioned in 2014, is expected to start up in 2019.
