Air Products employee Harold Allen has been honored by the Jackie Robinson Foundation as one of “42 Under 40” distinguished alumni. A site supervisor at Air Products’ hydrogen facility in Martinez, Calif., the Foundation recognized Allen for his contributions in both the workplace and the community.
The recognition honors Allen’s commitment to providing opportunities for young, diverse students. He currently serves as the chair of the Foundation’s Pacific Northwest region Scholars Advisory Committee, a role he refers to as “easily one of the most meaningful volunteer projects I have ever supported.”
Foundation scholarships are given to outstanding high school graduates who plan to earn an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Allen earned his bachelor of science degree in chemical Engineering from Howard University in 2004. He later joined Air Products as a participant in the company’s career development program. Prior to joining the company, Allen participated in Air Products’ co-op/summer internship program.
