Ross builds special 600-gallon mixing system

Ken Langhorn, Product Manager for Charles Ross & Son, has announced the completion of a special 600 gallon Dual Shaft - Mixing and Dispersion and Control System.

The fixed tank mixing system was designed for operation under full vacuum conditions. The independently driven mixers provided were a slow speed anchor with hinged Teflon wall scrapers and a high shear rotor/stator mixer. The high shear mixer was also provided with a unique solids injection attachment. A custom designed piped skid system with minor metering systems for minor liquid additions and a self-contained vacuum pump were included.

The control panel provided with the mixer was designed to control the mixing process including automatic metering, mixer speed, vacuum and cycle timers. A color monitor was installed in the control panel.
