3E Company has launched a new web-based interactive training module designed to help facilitate conformance with the employee training obligations outlined in the U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s (OSHA) Hazard Communication Standard 2012 (HazCom 2012). The new standard aligns with the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of classification and labeling of chemicals. Companies around the globe can use the Hazard Communication Standard 2012 training module to satisfy the employee training requirements of HazCom 2012.
To conform to HazCom 2012, employers are required to train employees on the standard’s new label elements and safety data sheet format by Dec. 1, 2013. The one-hour Hazard Communication Standard 2012 Training Module, developed in cooperation with Learn it Solutions, streamlines the process through an engaging and intuitive online training program accessible anytime and anywhere an Internet connection is available.
The Hazard Communication Standard 2012 Training Module can be deployed as a stand-alone web application or as a training module that can be integrated into an existing learning management system. The module will be available in early 2013, with reduced early bird pricing available now.
