Blinding control system boosts screening accuracy
The Ultrasonex blinding control system reduces blinding and bridging when screening difficult or sticky materials such as various chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metal powders, powder paints, powder coatings, plastic resins, toner powder and food. By minimizing mesh blinding and bridging, the system ensures that powders are screened through the correct aperture size required, providing accurate separations, higher throughput, consistent product quality, and long mesh life. The system can screen through meshes as fine as 20µm at high capacity and efficiency. It is available on new screeners and can be field retrofitted to existing Rotex screeners.

Liquid level alarms provide ideal indication
The battery-powered Drum Alarm monitors liquid level in chemical drums, tanks and containers. When a level is too low, the alarm beeps and flashes. The audio alarm is loud and the LED is visible in daylight. The device is suitable for situations when a containers contents are infrequently emptied or filled. It has a liquid feeding tube permanently attached to the float switch alarm and features a built-in variable-area flow meter so liquid flow can be monitored. The battery lasts 2 to 3 years. The alarms are sized for the containers they monitor to evacuate as much liquid as possible to minimize the amount of residual chemical left unused.

Vacuum conveyors suit powder and bulk applications
The C-series of conveyors are said to be ideal for conveying powders and other dry ingredients. Powered by pneumatically driven vacuum pumps, these systems safely and quietly transport up to 10 tons to 15 tons per hour of material. The conveyors are made of AISI 316L stainless steel and reportedly can cope with the most demanding circumstances. The filter design can trap particles down to 0.3 microns and can be equipped with a High Efficiency Particle Arrestment (HEPA) filter. The design of the new conveyor improves the vacuum-assisted flow by 25% without affecting energy consumption. The conveyors are available in diameters of 21 cm, 33 cm and 56 cm.

Flow transmitter measures across wide range
Compatible with pipe diameters from ½-in. 16-in., the Type 8041 electromagnetic flow transmitter offers a measuring range of 0.33 fps to 33 fps. Accuracy (for a measured value of 3.3 fps to 33 fps/-4°F to 266°F) is ±2% of measured value using Teach-In automatic calibration mode, ±4% of measured value using standard K-factor. Linearity is ±1% of measured value or + 0.1% of FS, while repeatability is 0.25% of measured value. It features a 4-20 mA current output, plus frequency and relay outputs. The unit can be used with various devices, including the 8025 Digital Flow Transmitter.

Flanged ball valve passes fire test, mounts directly
The 4000 Series (150 or 300 ANSI) flanged ball valve is available in full port or standard port design. The body comes in carbon steel or stainless steel, trim (ball and stem) are 316SS. The series is fire-tested to API607 4th Edition and ISO 10497 with TFM seats providing high temperature performance and chemical resistance. The valve features ISO 5211 direct mounting with adjustable packing. It can be equipped with a manual handle or with direct mount pneumatic or electric actuators, which provide compact assembly to ease installation and eliminate unnecessary height and expense. A full range of accessory items is available including limit switches, solenoid valves, positioners and manual override devices.

Mixer more easily blends materials
This dual-shaft mixer incorporates a helical agitator and high-speed dispersion blade. The new combination of agitators provides improved axial and radial turnover of the materials being mixed, as well as high shear of the product. This feature is especially useful for: viscous materials that have poor flow qualities; the addition of powders that have a tendency to float on the surface; or when heat transfer of the batch constituents is important The helical agitator is designed for bi-directional operation. The mixer also includes a conical bottom vessel, special electrically actuated discharge valve, double mechanical seals, a 100 psig jacket for heating and cooling, a temperature probe and all stainless steel wetted parts.
