Conference Aims To Advance Biofuel Production

April 27, 2009
The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) and 25x’25 --  an alliance of agricultural, forestry, environmental, conservation and other organizations and businesses that are working collaboratively to advance the goal of securing 25% of the nation’s energy needs from renewable sources by the year 2025 -- announce BioEnergy Engineering ’09, a multi-disciplinary international bioenergy engineering conference Oct. 11-14, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, Wash.Conference attendees can choose from a variety of educational opportunities, including intensive institutes – sharply focused mini-conferences within the main conference – and a wide range of technical sessions at which invited speakers and others will present the most up-to-date research and industry developments available. In addition, panels will address emerging technologies and the future of biofuel production, as well as the political influences and impacts on bioenergy engineering.  Workshops will provide professional education for all aspects of engineering in the biofuels and bioenergy systems, from genetics through production, distribution, and use.  A trade exhibit will showcase suppliers’ services and products. Mobile workshops are planned to provide a view into actual working environments to further enhance the learning opportunities and provide vision for implementing new techniques and processes. For more detailed information on this conference, please visit:  http://www.bioenergyengineering2009.com.
