Latin America Green Exchange Conference Set For September In Brazil

Feb. 16, 2011
Conference hosted by Informex focuses on a sustainable future for chemistry, chemical processing.

Chemistry marketplace Informex's second Latin American Green Exchange Conference will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at Estanplaza International in September.

This year's event will address the significant shortage of green technologies in the global market and present several networking opportunities, including catered lunch for all delegates. The Green Exchange Conference will feature a session-only format with a focus on education and collaboration. These sessions will feature international participation from sponsors, speakers and delegates to provide a global perspective on sustainability.

"One of the main goals of this conference, in addition to information exchange and networking, is to increase the national and international level of knowledge of green chemistry, environmental chemistry and chemistry for sustainability in Brazil," says Jennifer Jessup, Global Brand Director for Informex..

Informex identified the need for a Latin America event based on trends in global market demand. Over the past 10 years, the specialty chemical processing and pharmaceutical market in the region has realized steady growth, and many international organizations have responded to this by setting up operations in the country, Informex notes.
