Pepperl Fuchs Workstations Receive New Hazardous Environment Certification

VisuNet IND SlimLine operator workstations are now Zone 2 certified for use in hazardous environments.
Pepperl+Fuchs’ VisuNet IND SlimLine operator workstation has received Zone 2 certification for use in hazardous environments. The certification adds to the workstation’s HMI visualization in Class I, Div. 2 hazardous locations. Available in a NEMA 4/4x IP 64 stainless or painted steel housing, the VisuNet IND operator workstation is suited for use in oil & gas, chemical, food and beverage, and flavor and fragrance applications.
The technology provides standard Ethernet networking connections to the server to eliminate the need for expensive converters, and reduces IT infrastructure needs by providing access to multiple servers from a single workstation. VisuNet RM has been tested and approved by Thin Manager for use with ACP Thin Manager software. The enclosure design features continuously welded seams that are ground smooth, and mitigates heat without the need for venting or cooling fans.
