Professionals from industry, government and academia, including Vanessa Sutherland, chairperson of the Chemical Safety Board and Dr. Sam Mannan, regent professor and director of the Mary Kay O'Conner Process Safety Center at Texas A&M University, will share information on process safety and operational excellence at SOCMA’s National Chemical Safety Symposium.
SOCMA's National Chemical Safety Symposium hosted by ChemStewards is set for October 11-12 at the Houston Marriott West Loop by The Galleria in Houston, Texas. The Symposium offers EHS&S and other chemical industry professionals information on the latest trends and methodologies in process safety and operational excellence.
An agenda full of experts from industry, government and academia, including Vanessa Sutherland, chairperson of the Chemical Safety Board, and Dr. Sam Mannan, regent professor and director of the Mary Kay O'Conner Process Safety Center at Texas A&M University, will report on the latest trends and methodologies in process safety and operational excellence. The event also features a Q&A session regarding new techniques designed to address plant safety, a hands-on process safety workshop led by Jerry L. Jones, a consultant with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and a roundtable discussion on the legislative and regulatory issues facing the specialty chemical industry with SOCMA's government relations staff.
