The Omega PX51-IS/PXM51-IS Series of intrinsically safe pressure transmitters are designed, tested and FM certified for hazardous locations. The transmitters offer an all stainless steel construction and rugged, thick film sensing element suitable for the harshest environments, according to Omega. The PX51-IS/PXM51-IS is available in gage, absolute and sealed gage models with a selection of outputs and a unique dual fitting. The list of locations requiring intrinsically safe devices is extensive. Most process control applications in industries as diverse as oil and gas production, chemical refineries, power generation and anywhere with airborne dust, such as silos, should utilize FM approved instrumentation, according to Omega.
