Larry Sloan, outgoing president and CEO of the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA), is quoted as saying Trump poses a greater threat to global trade than Clinton. Two former chiefs of the Environmental Protection Agency who served in Republican administrations say Trump has demonstrated “a profound ignorance of science and of the public health issues embodied in our environmental laws.” Both candidates have come after the biotech industry, according to the article, with Clinton taking a stronger stance regarding “price gouging” by drug companies.
