MTS Systems Corporation announced updated safety approvals for the Level Plus M-Series Models MR and MC420 level transmitters.

MTS Systems Corporation announced updated safety approvals for the Level Plus M-Series Models MR and MC420 level transmitters. Both products are rated as intrinsically safe (IS) Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D for lengths up to 300 inches and Class I, Division 1, Group D for lengths greater than 300 inches for use in hazardous areas based on U.S. standards.

The Level Plus Model MR transmitter is an analog level transmitter with two-channel output. Providing 3-in-1 measurement (product level, interface level and temperature), this sensor has applications in industries such as petrochemical, liquid petroleum gas, biotech, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, water and wastewater storage, and handling machinery.

The Level Plus Model MC420 provides a single-channel analog 4 to 20 mA output for either a product-level or an interface-level measurement. These sensors are suited for processing and storing industrial chemicals, solvents, detergents, soaps and lubricating oils, as well as general process liquids used in the petrochemical and water/wastewater markets.
