ChatGPT tells us how the chemical industry might use its technology to develop new products and improve operations.

Management consulting firm McKinsey & Company hosted a webinar in July highlighting the potential uses for generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the chemical industry. Chemical Processing covered the event and wrote an article called "Generative AI in the Chemical Industry" detailing a couple of these potential uses, which include research and development and contract/compliance management. But those are just a few potential applications. So, we figured why not ask Open AI’s generative AI platform ChatGPT for a list of possible uses for the technology in the chemical sector. The following slide descriptions include edited versions of ChatGPT’s conclusions.
