Fourteen states sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency over rollback of Obama-era safety regulations, according to an article from The Hill. Last year, the Trump administration relaxed safety rules for chemical plants saying they created “unnecessary regulatory burdens.”

The new suit follows another filed last year by a coalition of environmental groups, according to the article. The EPA is reportedly being sued by New York, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin, as well as Washington, D.C., and the city of Philadelphia.
