Nationwide Boiler Inc., a supplier of temporary and permanent boiler systems, boiler support equipment and emissions control equipment, acquires Pacific Combustion Engineering/Ponder Burner Company, a combustion sales and service company specializing in custom control panel systems. This is Nationwide Boiler’s first acquisition in its 50-year history. The acquisition was led by President and CEO Larry Day along with Vice President and CFO Michele Tomas and Director of Operations Sean McMenamin.
The acquisition of Pacific Combustion Engineering/Ponder Burner Company increases Nationwide Boiler’s share of the industrial equipment market and expands the company’s coverage in the Pacific Northwest for rentals, sales and service, according to the company. The acquisition also enhances Nationwide Boiler’s product offerings, giving the company the ability to provide control systems across multiple industries that utilize combustion equipment. All panels are reportedly fabricated to the highest safety standards, including SIL I-IV, Class I Div 2, NFPA- 85/86, IRI, FM and UL. The panel fabrication shop can also perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
Pacific Combustion Engineering/Ponder Burner Company will continue to operate under its current name, as a division of Nationwide Boiler Inc. The division is managed by Jack Valentine, who has worked closely with Nationwide Boiler for over 17 years as the primary panel provider. With headquarters in Washougal, Washington (near Portland, Pacific Combustion Engineering/Ponder Burner Company represents several industrial equipment manufacturers and serves markets in the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.
