Here’s one top ten list that you definitely don’t want to make. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration presents 2016’s Top Ten most frequently cited violations with Fall Protection leading the way for the sixth straight year, according to an article from Safety+Health Magazine. In fact, the top three most cited categories, which also include Hazard Communication and Scaffolding, are all unchanged from 2015. OSHA reportedly issued more than 35,000 citations in its Top 10 categories during fiscal 2016, which ended Sept. 30.

The list was presented by Patrick Kapust, deputy director of OSHA’s Directorate of Enforcement Programs at the 2016 National Safety Council Congress & Expo in October, according to the article. Respiratory Protection and Lockout/Tagout round out the top five most cited violations. The article also includes the Top Ten “serious” violations, Top Ten willful violations and the year’s top monetary penalties.
